Was Philadelphia Fashion Week A Success?

Was Philadelphia's second annual fashion week a success?  I will have to say yes and no.  Yes, in speaking of the innovative designers who displayed a variety of au courant designs and inspiring trends.  The set up, along with the food and beverage selection were nicely orchestrated as well.  The runway design was breathtaking, as were the models who sashayed down it most gracefully.  I also found the event to be a great networking environment as well.  Most of the attendees were very friendly and well-dressed.
As to what could be addressed for next time.. altering a few issues in the way the event was scheduled and produced.  The event was not publicized as it should have been.  While speaking with other fashionites around the country, and in other parts of the world, the majority of the correspondents were totally unaware that the city of brotherly love was even having a fashion week.  Another issue that came up several times, was the lack of restrooms, or no restrooms.  Instead the guests had to use the dark port a potties located outside.  Perhaps another choice of venue may be a good decision?

It is not easy putting an event like fashion week together.  Perhaps, the planning committee could have used a little bit more assistance.  There were plenty of volunteers signed up, and most were very helpful and accommodating.

Another justification why this fashion week could have been better, would be not to schedule it on the same nights that the Phillies are in the playoffs, and the Eagles are out of town for an away game.  I say this, because I had overheard a few of the show producers saying that they wished more of the local athletes had been in attendance.

These are all very fixable and achievable attributes that can be easily taken care of.  Philadelphia fashion week is a step in the right direction, and I strongly believe that this event can and will get better every year.  This is a great start for philadelphia in the fashion world, and hopefully will never end.

Pamela Ptak Fashion Show Coverage

"Wear your life brilliantly." - Pamela Ptak.  That quote exemplifies the display of designer's genius attendees of Philadelphia Fashion Week were treated to.  Ptak's designs were refreshing and classy, while highlighting the gracious parts of the female body.  She utilized colors, such as purple and yellow to pure creativeness, while not making it look like a Los Angeles Laker's Fashion Show.

Again, it was very refreshing to see the use of many neglected colors.  Ptak, like a handful of the other fashion designers on hand for Philadelphia's second annual fashion week, used a variety of joyous colors and materials.  Hopefully, more women will start to embrace the grape, lemon, and tangerine like colors to spread more happiness unto all of us.  Just looking at the multi-colorful outfits brought smiles to many faces in the crowd.  Imagine what they could do for the rest of the world..
